How to Get out of Bed on a Cold Morning
As winter sets in, the mornings are only going to get colder. With every cold morning, it becomes a greater temptation to stay in bed nicely wrapped up with your winter duvet. Unfortunately, for the majority of us hibernating for winter isn’t a realistic option. Whether it’s getting the kids ready for school or getting yourself to work, we all have obligations and responsibilities which make hibernating a wonderfully attractive but unattainable dream. However, you’ll be glad to know that you can make it much easier for yourself to get out of bed in the morning by following these simple tips.
Put the Heating on a Timer

Most central heating systems now have timers, and these can be a huge help when you get up in the morning. Climbing out of bed is much easier if you don’t feel like you’re going to freeze once you’re up. Not only will you feel much better in the morning, but you’ll also see a financial benefit if you only use the heating when you’re home.
Move the Alarm Clock

You might be slightly more hesitant about implementing this tip, however, it will be a huge help. If you can’t roll over and turn off the alarm, you’ll certainly jump out of bed to quieten the racket. Once you’re up and out of bed, it’s much easier to find the motivation to start your day.
Listen to Upbeat Music

Music is always a mood changer. If your alarm clock has a built-in radio, set the alarm to favourite station. If you use your mobile as an alarm, compile a playlist of your favourite songs and set the playlist to play as your alarm tone. An aggressive alarm clock such as the classic bell ring isn’t going to be good for your mood. You might get up on the right side of the bed, however, that aggressive ringing is sure to put you in a foul mood.
Don’t Forget Breakfast

It’s the most important meal of the day for a very good reason. If you want to start your day off well and find that motivation to get up, make sure you enjoy a nice warm breakfast. If you enjoy a coffee in the morning, you’ll be glad to hear that a lot of newer coffee machine include a timer so that you can set the machine to brew for when you get up. You’ll be surprised how much easier getting up will be if you know that you have a good breakfast to look forward to.
